A redesign of the client notification queue that simplifies resolution workflows, increasing efficiency and improving the user experience.
Overview
CDLLife’s app was designed to connect and support professional truck drivers, but despite a large user base, only a small fraction of drivers were actively engaging. Comments on posts had become repetitive or negative, and new users rarely joined conversations.
To address this, I led the design of Chat Groups, a new feature that turned one-way posting into real-time, topic-based discussions. By lowering the barrier to participation and creating a sense of smaller communities within the larger network, Chat Groups encouraged more meaningful interactions and user-generated content.
Within months of launch, adoption exceeded expectations. Engagement rates tripled, and the app’s community dynamic shifted from passive scrolling to active connection. The project became a pivotal step in transforming CDLLife from a content platform into a true social ecosystem for drivers.
